Product Care
Product Care Tips
- Do not use training gear wet - this is abuse and will dramatically increase the effects of wear and tear.
- After training, always dry your training gear out of your training bag in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight.
- Where required use a small amount of baby powder on the inside of your gloves to assist with removing excess moisture/sweat and preventing odours.
- Always use cotton inners or boxing wraps to prevent excess sweat and moisture from deteriorating your products, wear and tear caused by sweat/rot are not covered under warranty.
- Ensure you have enough training gear to always use a dry set, especially in a fight gym or commercial training environment as overusing an insufficient amount of equipment is abuse and will void your warranty.
- If you train more than 3-4 times a week, we recommend utilising a second set of equipment to ensure you always have dry equipment.
- Do not complete push-ups in your boxing gloves unless they specifically state "push up zone" on them.
- If the product is marked "washable", hand wash the product separately with cold water, do not tumble dry and avoid washing more than 4 times per year.
- All speed-balls/floor-to-ceiling balls require weekly inflation and maintenance.
- Never strike a speedball/floor-to-ceiling ball with bare knuckles.
- Do not overinflate bladders, especially in hot and humid conditions.
- Inflate the bladder until the ball feels firm (not rock-hard) allowing your thumbs to gently push into the casing material approx 1.5cm.
- Changes in temperature will affect require the user to give regular "topping up" of the air into inflated bladders.
- Lick or lubricate your pump needle before inserting it into bladders, monitor the needle during inflation to avoid accidental bladder punctures.
- Ensure floor-to-ceiling ball straps are not set too tight, the ball should have a minimum of 25cm of movement in any direction, any less will cause added stress and damage the ball/straps.
- Straps and bladders are perishable, high wear and tear items and are excluded from manufacturing faults warranty.
- Set your floor to ceiling ball to the approx. height of your chest for optimal training results.
- The fitting of non-Punch Equipment accessories to your speed ball/floor to ceiling ball will void your warranty.
- As wall brackets and ceiling hook attachments can take a considerable amount of force with general boxing bag use, Punch Equipment recommends your boxing bag is installed by a qualified tradesman to ensure proper installation is followed.
- Review this installation video to increase the durability of your boxing bag bracket and chains: https://youtu.be/AtpZWNTzPyw
- If you change the fittings/filling or adjust the strap/chain lengths you will void your manufacturing faults warranty.
- Metal on metal sheering of chains, swivels, replaceable eye-bolts and hooks are effects from wear and tear and are not covered under warranty.
- Only use stretchy rubber-type materials to fix a boxing bag to the floor with the tie-down anchor feature.
- Avoid D ring and figure 8 ring wear on boxing bags by hanging them with 10mm rope instead of chain.
- Boxing bags hung with twisted straps/chain is negligent of assembly and may void your warranty.
- Beating punching bags with weapons, striking with bare knuckles or shoes may puncture/damage bags which is not covered under warranty.
- Avoid dragging your boxing bags, this form of damage/wear and tear is not warrantable.
- Avoid hanging boxing bags near (within 1.5 meters) walls/mirrors and other gym equipment.
- Wipe your boxing bags down with disinfectant diluted in warm water once per week for hygienic maintenance.
- Spray/lubricate "D" rings, chains, and places where moving metal parts touch once per week where required.
- Inspect weekly for wear and tear in strap rings, swivels and chains; failure to do so can result in your boxing bag failing suddenly.
- Only use boxing boots on a soft flooring training area or boxing ring.
- Boxing Boots are designed for boxing training only and should be not be used for other casual wear or other activities.

lachybuzza –
Out of all the gloves I’ve ever sparred in these would have to be the best, they are so light and extremely comfortable. They have very good wrist protection and are very aesthetically pleasing.
Pros: comfort, durability, comfortable, light
Cons: n/a
Best used for: sparring/ bag work
Lachy buzza –
These are the best gloves I’ve ever worn. I have had these for a couple months and I love them. They are the lightest 16 ounce gloves I’ve ever worn. Highly recommend for anyone wanting new gloves.
Pros: - wrist protection - comfortable -very light - very durable -
Cons: N/a
Best used for: Sparring and bag/ padwork
Coach Keam –
I have tried many different gloves over the years and none have come close to the quality and the comfort of these gloves. I have a 12oz pair for pad work and bag work. Then the 16oz pair for sparring.
highly recommend.
Pros: Quality. Comfort. Support. Aesthetics.
Cons: Nothing.
Best used for: 120z I love for pad work and bag work. 160z I love for sparring and heavy bag work.
Todd Woodcock –
Recently purchased these gloves.
I must say, from the packaging firstly, to the actual glove and comfort also use.
INCREDIBLE GLOVES.
I’ve spent large amounts of money over the years on other products, and these are by far, top tier and great quality, best of the best.
Pros: Comfortable. Light. Support the wrists and knuckles, after previous breaks on my hands Look great. Had many people at my boxing gym ask me where I got them from. Absorb well on the tear drop bags, also when doing pad work.
Cons: Can’t fault them at all.
Best used for: 12 ounce sizing was my purchase - for any type of mitt / pad work, tear drop bag.
Jordan –
5 stars! These gloves feel awesome. Great quality, nice and comfortable on the wrists. I use the 16oz, white gloves for sparring.
joelrushbrook0 –
These are the best gloves i have owned especially because i have broken my hands a few times but these gloves offer me alot comfort and support around my hands and wrist support when im punching the bag or sparing i dont feel any stiffness or pain they were most definitely worth buying
Kelly Jewell –
This is the best glove that I have come across and I have tried a heap of gloves. I have damaged wrist and knuckles and this glove really stands out for protection. I really like a punchers style glove but I usually suffer at the end of a heavy work out as there usually isn’t the support and padding where you need it. The Fuerte Ultra gloves are the best of both worlds as you can still feel your punches land with plenty of feedback with the wrist and knuckle protection that I need. I purchased a 16 ounce pair for sparring but find they are great for the heave bag but you still have the feedback when using the pads.
Pros: Easily the most comfortable boxing glove that you will find.
Cons: None
Best used for: Sparring but you can use for bag work and pad work also.
Jordan –
These gloves feel really comfortable and broken into straight away. The red colour is awesome and the leather looks and feels really high quality.
Matt Taylor –
Nice enough glove, and certainly very useable, but for me, they are too soft for regular heavy bag work.
But a solid glove to have in the rotation.
Pros: Nice feeling leather, super supple, decent wrist support, sparring glove, feel nice and broken in from the start.
Cons: Super thin cushion for a 16oz glove, hand compartment is pretty tight. Price
Best used for: Sparring.
Peter panayi –
Soft leather for sparring but really comfy, the red looks really really cool I’m very happy with them
Pros: Soft leather good for sparring but keeps your hand together when you punch making sure you don’t hurt your hand
Cons: I don’t have any cons for this glove
Best used for: Good for all bags and soft enough for sparring and fighting
Chris panayu –
This is the first punch product I’ve used so far and this is by far the comfiest glove I’ve ever used and it’s extremely light. this product is definetly a must buy for anyone else
Pros: Light, comfy, keeps your hand intact so it doesn’t hurt to punch
Cons: I haven’t ran into any cons so far
Best used for: Best used for any type of bag hitting but is also very good for sparring
Chong –
Nice supple leather, and great cushioning. Has held up well over the past few months of heavy bag work. Surprisingly good feedback for the amount of protection you get, not to mention the gorgeous design of the glove.
Pros: Cushioning and protection
Cons: Probably better gloves with feedback out there, but for the mix of feedback and protection this pair is top notch
Best used for: All around gym work. Soft enough for sparring, and feedback is solid enough for bag and mitt work.
Damian Chong –
Nice supple leather, and great cushioning. Has held up well over the past few months of heavy bag work. Surprisingly good feedback for the amount of protection you get, not to mention the gorgeous design of the glove.
Pros: Cushioning and protection
Cons: Probably better gloves with feedback out there, but for the mix of feedback and protection this pair is top notch
Best used for: All around gym work. Soft enough for sparring, and feedback is solid enough for bag and mitt work.
Scott Forbes –
I bought 2 pairs and I love these gloves and for me they are such a quality glove that’s feels like it’s moulded to your fist. The padding is what makes this glove superb for bag work and the coverage is
great for sparring I’ve found, maybe not for the other person though.
I bought my wife a pair and she won’t use any of her older gloves now at all.
Nice work Punch Equipment 👊👊
Pros: Great quality, excellent coverage of padding. Quality Velcro and wrist support.
Cons: I couldn’t get the 16oz for the sale price so will have to pay full price but that’s okay.
Best used for: Pad work, sparring, bag work, partner work.
ROCKY DEVELLEREZ –
A nice compact design made from real cow hide leather for durability with a super comfortable fit,you get great knuckle and wrist protection with excellent Punch feed back from these FUERTE gloves..Highly recommend 👍
Pros: Cow hide leather durability. Excellent punch feed back with great hand protection. Superb fit.
Cons: 12 oz not suited for sparring as the person on the receiving end will definitely know they’ve been punched lol.
Best used for: Heavy Bag work. Focus pads. Fightmaster boxing station. Partner work.
Keith –
I’m not usually one to post about sports gear, but I’m so damn happy with this pair of gloves that I feel inclined to give these guys a shout. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to use various pairs of gloves, but with the increased amount of time that I spend on the heavy bag at home, I’ve become even more picky. Cletos are slick, fast, and smell amazing (lol), but they don’t protect my weak ass hands enough. Twins remain the world’s most underrated glove makers, but at 16oz, they’re a tad bulky. Winning continues to make the best damn gloves on the planet, but omg they’re expensive. After diving back online to explore more gloves, I decided to give these Fuerte Ultras a go.
THEY’RE SO GOOD. I’M SO HAPPY. They’re basically Winning clones, with a bigger velcro strap. Sure, they’re made with more affordable materials, but at less than half the price of a pair of Winnings, I’m blown away. If you’re boxing, or doing any form of fight training, I can’t recommend these guys enough. If you have bigger hands and long fingers like me, please, please check them out. You won’t regret it.
TLDR: These gloves make me happy.
Pros: - Ultra comfortable - Fits my hands perfectly, even with 4.5m wraps. - Excellent protection
Cons: The leather is easily marked, but nothing major.
Best used for: I use this glove for everything.
damianchongwh –
Got the Mexican Fuerte Ultras in 12oz for some bag work and they have performed well. Extremely protective and cushions my hands well. I have had knuckle and wrist problems, but these gloves are excellent in protection. I was also pleasantly surprised at how broken in they felt immediately, I was going 100% on the bag with no issues on my very first day.
They do have a good pop to them, but obviously not as pronounced as a typical “puncher” style glove. Overall, they are an excellent pair of gloves for the amount I paid.
Lance –
I now have the Mexican Fuerte Ultra in both colours, love them.
Great Design, Quality and Comfort. comfortable fist position and natural thumb position.
I have injured knuckles. These give good protection, and although nice fit, allow me to wrap my hands well and still feel comfortable
Pros: Great Design and Quality Great comfort, especially fist and thumb position. Excellent Wrist Support
Cons: None
Best used for: Sparring, but I use for Mitt work also
Mishelle Macatangay –
Amazing product. I bought the 160z in 2018. It’s been 2 years and I can confirm it’s still as snug and supportive on my wrist as when I first bought it. The leather quality is amazing, and I’ve sparred in high end gloves like cleto Reyes and Winnings. They are lighter to spar in than Cleto Reyes and have more wrist support than Winnings. The padding is great for my knuckles and has maintained the thickness over the 2 year period. And I spar 2 times a week.
The great thing about this glove is because the leather is such high quality, it softens nicely and you can tighten the Velcro strap according to your wrist. I’ve got small wrist and I found that these gloves have been amazing in moulding to my wrist size and providing high protection without the leather thinning.
Pros: - maximum knuckle support and light weight - leather is high quality and softens nicely
Best used for: Sparring Bagwork
lhilliard1 –
Mexican Fuerte Ultra are Quality Gloves. Great review from csquareboxing is true to comfort and quality.
Very comfortable, great leather. The 12oz still gives me good protection.
By the way the Elite are excellent too, as are the Mexican 5m wraps.
Damon –
I got these gloves at Christmas time last year for my birthday and after using the trophy getters for so long these gloves were a very big improvement from the trophy getters dont get me wrong they are a great set of gloves too but these Mexican style gloves are a mean style you can feel every punch you throw you know your hitting a nose or ribs and they are also very comfy on the hands would reccomend these gloves for sparring any day of the week
Pros: Very comfy tight fit, great for sparring, quality stitching
Cons: Red colour fades off the gloves a little bit
Best used for: Sparring
Jeff –
It’s like getting a glove tailor fitted. The comfort level is insane. Well balanced glove, it is a joy to use during training. Very pleased with the purchase and impressed with the company. Thinking about getting the Elite gloves as well.
Pros: Comfort, size and quality.
Cons: Thus far none.
Best used for: For me an excellent all-round boxing glove.
Ash Sparkes –
By far the nicest gloves I’ve had the pleasure of using,
The feeling and smell of the leather is ridiculous & the handfit is even better.
I have been using the 12oz in Blue for the last 8 months & they feel fantastic on bag and pads, the feedback is crisp!
Pros: So so soft Great wrist support Super comfy handfit
Cons: Need more colours!
Best used for: 12oz bag & pads 16oz sparring
Richard Martinec –
Best gloves i have used so far. Definetely would buy again
Pros: Very well made, using 16oz mainly for sparring. I have pretty large hands and these gloves fit perfectly
Cons: None spotted so far
Best used for: Sparring
David S –
Absolutely the best gloves out there right now for under $500…! Cannot complain. Just brilliant. Would love them in white or baby blue!
Pros: The fit. The responsiveness. The shape. The leather. Allll brilliant.
Cons: None.
Best used for: All your training! Sparring, pads, heavy bag.
riley –
These are the best gloves I’ve used.
I struggled a lot finding gloves that fit my very large and long hands, these fixed all hand pain I was getting previously. Will 100% buy again
Pros: Larger finger compartment. Feel like they're broken in and ready for use first time. Perfect for sparring. My sparring partner says it's like getting hit in the face with a pillow.
Cons: The leather is very soft and I could see it not being ideal for the heavy bag.
Best used for: Sparring and pad work.
Ross –
Great glove very comfortable, highly recommend this one!
Pros: Very comfortable I highly recommend these gloves.
Cons: None
Best used for: Boxing training & sparring
Adam Milburn –
I’ve had these gloves for a month and I’m super impressed with the feel of the glove in training and sparring, and the quality of the construction. An expensive glove by Punch standards, but actually really competitively priced when you compare the quality of the glove to similar products from other brands. The ‘relaxed fit’ still provides enough support to the wrist and hand and is really comfortable to wear. I highly recommend these gloves.
Pros: Great fit. Good Support. Quality construction.
Cons: None as yet
Best used for: Training and Sparring
