Product Care
Product Care Tips
- Do not use training gear wet - this is abuse and will dramatically increase the effects of wear and tear.
- After training, always dry your training gear out of your training bag in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight.
- Where required use a small amount of baby powder on the inside of your gloves to assist with removing excess moisture/sweat and preventing odours.
- Always use cotton inners or boxing wraps to prevent excess sweat and moisture from deteriorating your products, wear and tear caused by sweat/rot are not covered under warranty.
- Ensure you have enough training gear to always use a dry set, especially in a fight gym or commercial training environment as overusing an insufficient amount of equipment is abuse and will void your warranty.
- If you train more than 3-4 times a week, we recommend utilising a second set of equipment to ensure you always have dry equipment.
- Do not complete push-ups in your boxing gloves unless they specifically state "push up zone" on them.
- If the product is marked "washable", hand wash the product separately with cold water, do not tumble dry and avoid washing more than 4 times per year.
- All speed-balls/floor-to-ceiling balls require weekly inflation and maintenance.
- Never strike a speedball/floor-to-ceiling ball with bare knuckles.
- Do not overinflate bladders, especially in hot and humid conditions.
- Inflate the bladder until the ball feels firm (not rock-hard) allowing your thumbs to gently push into the casing material approx 1.5cm.
- Changes in temperature will affect require the user to give regular "topping up" of the air into inflated bladders.
- Lick or lubricate your pump needle before inserting it into bladders, monitor the needle during inflation to avoid accidental bladder punctures.
- Ensure floor-to-ceiling ball straps are not set too tight, the ball should have a minimum of 25cm of movement in any direction, any less will cause added stress and damage the ball/straps.
- Straps and bladders are perishable, high wear and tear items and are excluded from manufacturing faults warranty.
- Set your floor to ceiling ball to the approx. height of your chest for optimal training results.
- The fitting of non-Punch Equipment accessories to your speed ball/floor to ceiling ball will void your warranty.
- As wall brackets and ceiling hook attachments can take a considerable amount of force with general boxing bag use, Punch Equipment recommends your boxing bag is installed by a qualified tradesman to ensure proper installation is followed.

- If you change the fittings/filling or adjust the strap/chain lengths you will void your manufacturing faults warranty.
- Metal on metal sheering of chains, swivels, replaceable eye-bolts and hooks are effects from wear and tear and are not covered under warranty.
- Only use stretchy rubber-type materials to fix a boxing bag to the floor with the tie-down anchor feature.
- Avoid D ring and figure 8 ring wear on boxing bags by hanging them with 10mm rope instead of chain.
- Boxing bags hung with twisted straps/chain is negligent of assembly and may void your warranty.
- Beating punching bags with weapons, striking with bare knuckles or shoes may puncture/damage bags which is not covered under warranty.
- Avoid dragging your boxing bags, this form of damage/wear and tear is not warrantable.
- Avoid hanging boxing bags near (within 1.5 meters) walls/mirrors and other gym equipment.
- Wipe your boxing bags down with disinfectant diluted in warm water once per week for hygienic maintenance.
- Spray/lubricate "D" rings, chains, and places where moving metal parts touch once per week where required.
- Inspect weekly for wear and tear in strap rings, swivels and chains; failure to do so can result in your boxing bag failing suddenly.
- Only use boxing boots on a soft flooring training area or boxing ring.
- Boxing Boots are designed for boxing training only and should be not be used for other casual wear or other activities.

My 14oz Trophy Getters are my prize possession. I moved to Punch Equipment after my old boxing gloves completely deteriorated after 12 months, and I wanted a pair of gloves that were going to last me a long time. After reading a bunch of reviews I decided on The Trophy Getters from Punch Equipment. I’ve had them for 7 months now and they are still in immaculate condition! I love the feel of these gloves when they connect with the pads. I decided to move up from 12oz to 14oz so that I conditioned my arms to take on the extra weight for when I fight, the 8oz feel weightless on my hands.

I originally wanted to replace my Gen 1 Armadillo Bag Gloves but I found that the Gen 2 gloves were too tight a fit for my hand. The Trophy Getter 16oz gloves were recommended by the Punch representative. I was originally concerned that I would be disappointed but not so. Having used them for my 12 Round Fitness sessions a few times now, I am very happy with them.
Pros: Great fit and feel. Great hand protection without loss of control or speed.

On my third pair of Trophy Getters that I use almost exclusively on the heavy bag, usually 15 – 17 three minute rounds per session. A great glove for the money that stands up to repeated workouts over a long period of time. Best glove I’ve ever used without a doubt. Avoid getting sucked into the “glam” brands like Everlast etc. Trophy Getters leave them for dead.

Bought the 18oz as my second pair. One thing it makes me love my fuerte more, on the other hand, you get what you pay for. But at this price range and the only one that comes in 18oz size, I didn’t think too long to get a pair. Hoping to break them in soon. It will never punch like the Fuerte but it sure is durable and excellent for heavy bag work. I can see this being my go to for most of bag work routine. Great for big hands and would not recommend quick wrap as it may not provide enough protection against rubbing inside the gloves.

I’ve also used the 16oz version many times for sparring and the gloves have always served me well until now. The leather on the underside of the glove is cracking, the thumb doesn’t have anywhere as near as much padding as the old version of the gloves, I can feel the leather joiner between the thumb and forefinger every time I hit the bag. And I’ve already split the foam right through from inside to outside.
They just feel like corners have been cut and they feel cheaper than the old ones.
Really disappointing as I love the old ones so much.
I’ve only had the new ones a couple of months and I don’t think they will last much longer.

These 16oz were the first I bought after completing a Level 1 Punchfit course and being told that they were hand-made and durable. I used them as a PT and continued using them through amateur competition training. They lasted me for years, felt great and kept my knuckles and wrists safe.

I would not buy online from Punch equipment. They took my money even though the order was not processed. I had to contact them to sort it out. As far as the gloves go, I have the 12oz and they fit snug with wraps(I’m 171cm & 70kg). I use them for bagwork and they have nice foam, not too stiff and not too soft. There is ample cushioning around the wrist and the wrist support feels solid. There is nice sweatproof lining inside the gloves. Would recommend to anyone looking for well designed training gloves.

I received a 16oz pair of these as a present 6 months ago, and I can say from heavy use they’ve held up very well. They offer great hand and wrist support, and in addition have solid padding which is awesome for blocking and catching when sparring. Honestly feel a lot more solid and well made than some other more expensive gloves I’ve used, and they didn’t take long to wear in. I’ll definitely be a punch customer from now on, as I’m really happy with these.

I bought a pair of 10oz for my tweenage son 4 months ago to replace his old 8oz gloves. He uses them for Muay Thai bag and mitt work, and for sparring. I also get him to help me with my defence, by getting him to try and smash me as hard and fast as he likes (and he likes, ha ha), with me only defending and clinching, and these gloves do the job of protecting both his hands (with quick wraps), and my head. He’s loved both the look and feel of them right from the start, and has only grown to love them more as he’s worn them in. His old pair were a high quality, famous Thai brand, so they’ve compared well to those, and he doesn’t miss his old ones.
I’ve bought a heap of Punch Equipment gear, and keep on going back. Top quality, and great prices for what you get. I don’t even bother looking anywhere else now if I need any new equipment, I just have a poke around their online store, or drop into the warehouse.

I have Two Trophy Getters gloves a 12oz and 18oz.
I use the 12oz for my bag work. They are awesome, super comfortable, fit very well, don’t break easily even with all sweat. The 18oz I use for my skills and sparring. They are perfect. Very good size and good weight. Those gloves are of super quality and I strongly recommend them for any level of boxing skills. I use mine ones every single day for consecutive hours and they are impeccable.

I am currently using an old pair of Trophy Getters® that I have used six days a week for the last 2 years. They are only now showing signs of their age! I don’t look after my gear at all and a lot of the time my gloves go in the back of my ute and sit in the rain over night! I don’t air them out, and I don’t dry them. They may smell because of my laziness but I can’t seem to kill them no matter how hard I try.
